Sunday Best

Normally I have no problem putting outfits together…but when it comes to Sunday morning and getting ready for church, I struggle every single week.  I want to dress up, but also want to stay on the conservative side (while remaining stylish).  I wore this outfit last Sunday and it was the perfect balance – ladylike & appropriate, but still totally me.

What I’m wearing:
Simply Vera by Vera Wang cardigan, Gap blouse, Calvin Klein skinnies, BCBG heels (here), Target earrings

I don't think this is really conservative but it is very casual. I asked one of my four sons what he thought. All of my sons are very conservative. He said it looked conservative to him except for the shoes. He which he thought were okay in a good away. They don't care much for fashion and will never really tell me what they think. I can ask about someone they don't know and they will if they have an opinion they might actually give one.

that cardigan is lovely! I have that problem at times, I usually wear a cardigan over a dress or a skirt with a long sleeve.

Yesterday I was reading that a lot of the people in the fashion industry believe that once vaccinations happen & things open back up, there will be a resurgence of dressing up for no reason & parties & celebrations (like the roaring twenties). And I, for one, am 100% HERE FOR IT 🙌🏻

This satin midi dress is such a stunning option for NYE & well beyond - would you believe it’s under $35 right now?! Comes in 4 colors and is fully stocked in all sizes 🙌🏻 (link in profile) #expresspartner #expresslife #expressyou #ssclooks #lookschallenge #contributingeditor

When I asked for your birthday wish list, the first item you wrote was “money to build care packages for the homeless” 😭 After all these years, I shouldn’t be surprised because that’s just who you are.

Our lives became sunnier, happier and more joy-filled the day you were born...and you’ve been spreading that light everywhere you go ever since.

Even though it’s hard for me to think that we only have another year and a half with you at home, I know you are going to do great things & truly leave your mark in this world.

And I’ll be the one in the front row cheering the loudest 💕
