I’m thrilled to be partnering with Petal & Pup again to showcase some of their new arrivals for spring! They are quickly becoming one of my favorite online boutiques and the pieces I selected this month make me so excited for the warmer weather!
Tiered dresses & skirts are a big trend for the season, so I thought I’d share some affordable options with you today. This first matching set is probably one of the best things I’ve ever put on – the colorful print, the flattering silhouette, the feminine details…it just brings me so much joy to wear! This would be a gorgeous option for a spring or summer wedding, bridal shower or if you’re going on a tropical vacation & need something to wear to dinner in the evenings.
I personally love two piece sets like this because you can order different sizes (top & bottom) to perfectly fit your proportions. And even though I’m a pretty modest dresser, I don’t mind showing just a little sliver of skin at the midriff. I found both pieces to run true to size – the skirt does have a little elastic in the back of the waistband, so there’s some stretch/give to it. For length reference, I’m 5’8″ and I’m wearing it with 3″ heels in these photos.
This exact same design also comes in a pretty blue floral print (top & coordinating skirt) and I love this pretty top & matching skirt too. They graciously offered another discount code for PPF readers – just use code PENNY15 to get 15% off your purchase of anything on their site now through May 29th!
What I’m wearing:
c/o Petal & Pup Aimee Top, c/o Petal & Pup Deaville Skirt,
Similar Earrings, Gorjana Necklace, Similar Clutch,
Rings: Shapes Studio & Etsy, Similar Sandals (here or here)
Nails: Essie Gel Couture (Last Night’s Look)
This dress is just begging for a picnic in the park or a stroll on the beach! Even though it looks like a light airy sundress, there is quite a bit of fabric to it and it’s fully lined, which makes it a little heavy…but on the plus side, it’s not see-through, even with the sun behind you. I love that the straps are adjustable and you can cinch the back tie in as much as you need to ensure a perfect fit through the bust. Because of the higher waistline, you could definitely wear this with a baby bump (and it would make for the most gorgeous maternity photos!).
