Thanks for bearing with me the last couple of weeks as we dealt with a massive ice storm & power outages here in Portland. After 6 days without electricity or water, it feels so good to be all settled in at home again! Because of all that was going on, it’s been a while since I’ve done an outfit post. But, the rain finally let up & I just got some new pieces in from Petal + Pup that I couldn’t wait to share with you! In case you missed my first post (here) & you’re not yet familiar with them, they are one of my new favorite online shops for affordable on-trend styles that are really high quality.
Today I’m highlighting two cozy sweaters that you can wear both now & later…and next week, I’ll show you the prettiest spring dresses from their site. Light knitwear is a must-have for that awkward transitional time between winter & spring. I always look for pieces in soft neutrals & icy pastels that I can wear with or without layers, depending on the weather.
They have so many great options right now & many are marked down! And if you find a full-price style that you love, don’t worry! They were gracious enough to offer me an exclusive discount to share – just enter code PPF20 at checkout to get 20% off your purchase through April 8th! Here are two looks I created with the softest knitwear…
This first pairing has a modern feminine feel thanks to this square neck sweater. I love the puffed shoulders and ribbed knit – it’s definitely more fitted through the torso, which makes this a great option for wearing with skirts too. This fabric blend is unbelievably soft and almost fuzzy – cozy chic at its finest! More feminine sweaters worth checking out: this wrap sweater, this neutral crop sweater, this lilac cardigan, this puff sleeve sweater (under $20) & this bobble sweater.
What I’m wearing:
c/o Petal & Pup Sweater, Abercrombie & Fitch Jeans, Similar Boots,
c/o Petal & Pup Earrings, Necklaces: BaubleBar (similar for less here),
Sugarfix by BaubleBar (similar), Gorjana, Similar Rings (here or here),
Similar Bag, A New Day Sunglasses, Nails: Sally Hansen Eco Rose
This gray sweater caught my eye because the design is so unique and unlike anything I’ve seen before. The tie detail in front naturally cinches in the waist & is so flattering! I only looped it through once, but if you click through to this link, you can see how it looks tied in a square knot. This is somewhat cropped, so I recommend pairing with high-waisted jeans or joggers. It also comes in a soft sage green that would be so pretty for spring (I’d pair with white denim).
Personally, I’m not sensitive to different fabric blends, but this does have a slight itch factor to it. If this bothers you, you could always layer a long-sleeve tee underneath. It’s very mild (in my opinion), but I wanted to mention it for those who have skin that gets easily irritated. Other casual knitwear I’m loving: this ribbed tunic, this mockneck sweater (under $25!), this slouchy pullover, this side-tie top & this cozy cardigan.
