Tropical Flair

I was so happy to see that tropical prints were big for spring/summer because I’ve had this skirt sitting in the back of my closet for a while.  I love that the colors are more neutral so it isn’t too over-the-top, which also makes it easier to pair with many different pieces.  This just proves that it pays to hang onto something…because if you wait long enough, most trends in fashion will come back around.

What I’m wearing:
ASOS top (here), BCBG skirt, Forever 21 belt, Guess pumps, Zara clutch (similar), Bracelets: Target (similar), Vintage & c/o Poshlocket (here), Target sunnies

I'm obsessed with tropical prints right now! Love your skirt! I like how you made it look a little more conservative by pairing it with neutral pieces instead of bright colors. Perfect!

I've had my eye on this top for a while but you know me an sleeveless tops. But after seeing it on you makes me want it again. It looks so cool, casual, and yet dainty and delicate. Loving this skirt! Such a fun skirt to hold on to! Also is the twisted bracelet from Target or Poshlocket? It's gorgeous!

I love the idea of wearing a peplum top with a fuller skirt. I've only seen them paired with pencil skirts really, and this just seems like such a great alternative to that! And the print on your skirt is super cute too.

i'm obsessed with peplum…. how see-through it the top?? would u say true to size?

  33. PennyPincherFashion says

    June 4, 2012 at 11:50 pm

Hi Mary – the top is fairly sheer, so you definitely want a nude colored bra and possible a nude cami as well. I would say it is true to size or maybe just a little bit big – hope that helps! 🙂
