I realize that my last hair post was also a ponytail style…which may be giving you clues into my laziness. But, when I saw this twisted look on the models at the Carven show, I just had to try it. And who doesn’t need a way to make the everyday ponytail a little more chic & interesting? Here it is…
It is so simple, but somehow looks special at the same time. And it will work for short or long lengths & straight or curly styles.
1) Pull your hair back into a low ponytail and secure with a clear or hair-colored elastic.
2) Loosen slightly so you can take the tail of the pony and loop it through the middle of your hair above the elastic (from the top down). Pull through completely to create the “twist” & tighten up (it’s okay for it to look a little messy, as you can see above).
3) Take a 1-inch section of your loose hair from the tail of the pony & wrap around the base to cover your elastic.
4) Secure with a bobby pin or two and spray lightly with flexible-hold hairspray.
That looks really cute. Thanks for sharing, and for the little tutorial. Have a good day. 🙂 Rochelle.
