Here’s a simple way to change up your eye makeup: try alternating colored liners on top & bottom. It adds more dimension to your look, but in a subtle way. I also love that you can choose whatever colors you have on hand or prefer. Take a look at these two different examples on Emmy Rossum & Joanna Garcia:
As you can see, Emmy has a peach/shimmery gray combo (perfect for daytime) while Joanna’s is a more sultry charcoal/plum mix (great for a night-out). Here is the close-up shot for a more detailed view:
To recreate this look, just blend well into the upper & lower lash lines (and don’t forget the inner rims, too) – you can either use an eyeshadow with a pointed applicator or an eyeliner pencil. Apply mascara to complete the look & you’re done! Here’s some color combinations that are perfect for fall & products to try:
Bordeaux/Pewter:
Olive/Gold:
L’Oreal HIP Kohl Eyeliner (Gold) – $3.98
Great!
love Emmy's make up…I love peach eyeshadow…I'll try to do the different lines thing to see how it works out!
Anna
i love this tip!!! I am having a problem wearing any liner at all though…sensitive to most brands…any suggestions?? I'm a plum girl & even Almay's are irritating me!
Alysson – sorry to hear that! You could try Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Eye Liner (it's specifically designed for contact lens wearers & those with sensitive eyes).
I love love love the peach/gray eye! I've been looking for a good peach color for a while! Those eyes look beautiful!
I love two toned eyes!
oooh, i love this! i'm so trying it for my next video. =)
Love Joanna's charcoal & plum combo and the peach on Emmy is beautiful. I need to switch up my makeup a little, might just have to try this!
