I received so much feedback after last month’s post that it was hard to choose which piece to focus on for October. So I decided to feature an item that most of you already have in your wardrobe (and if you don’t, I’ve included some affordable options below). A classic blazer can easily be dressed up or down & is especially ideal for this time of year. Even though you could certainly justify investing in a more expensive style, I personally don’t believe that you have to spend a lot to find one that will stand the test of time.
When looking for an affordable version, make sure that it is fully lined, fits well through the shoulders with no pulling or puckering, that there’s enough room in the arms to layer underneath (if you live in a cooler climate) and that the length hits at mid-hip (or just above if you’re petite). This is definitely a piece that is worth having tailored if it doesn’t fit perfectly right off the rack.
