It’s hard to believe there was a time when I didn’t have any cardigans in my closet. Now I don’t know how I’d live without this layering staple and I seem to keep accumulating more each year. The color of this cardigan caught my eye and when it arrived in the mail, I couldn’t get over how unbelievably soft it was. I love that it has an open front and shirttail hem, which gives it a more polished feel.
My first instinct was to pair it with a plain white tee, but I decided to branch out & try contrasting it against another fall color. This pendant necklace is another one of my favorite pieces from Myth and Master – it’s so lightweight & is the perfect length for all my sweaters + the neutral stone makes it super versatile! Here are a few more ways I’d style this cardigan for fall:
* layered over an ivory camisole with a suede skirt, printed neck scarf & leopard flats
* layered over a striped top with black slim trousers & loafers
* layered over an oatmeal tee with white jeans & ankle boots
Several of you have asked about what socks I wear with boots – if I’m wearing a style with a taller shaft, I just use regular ankle socks, but if it’s a low-cut bootie, I swear by these shoe liners. They are the only brand I’ve tried that truly stay put throughout the day & they work great with flats & sneakers too! And I always spray my suede footwear with a waterproof protectant at the beginning of the season to prevent potential stains & water spots.
