I’m finally getting back into the swing of things after a week-long break (something I’ve never done before!). It was an intentional hiatus so I could focus on spending my time with my parents while they were staying with us – they just left to head back to Oregon (insert crying emoji). We had such a wonderful 5 weeks with them here and it was really tough to say our goodbyes. But, there’s also a part of me that is anxious to refocus my energy on the blog & get back into a regular routine.
If you’re on the East Coast, I hope you’re staying dry & warm during the bomb cyclone – the weather here in NY was -20 with the wind chill yesterday (they even cancelled school for my kids!). Since most of us are stuck inside due to freezing temperatures, I figured it’s the perfect time to do a little online shopping, so I’m highlighting a few of my top finds today & sharing the best sales that are happening this weekend…
Macy’s: Extra 20% off using code WKND or get $10 off your purchase of $25 with code WKND25 (some exclusions apply) – this cashmere cardigan is just $60 & this tartan scarf is only $35! I just ordered these jeans to try after reading rave reviews (will let you know what I think once they arrive).
Anthropologie: Extra 40% off sale items + free shipping using code TOASTY1xY3 – loving this sequin top, this suede belt & these dainty earrings.
Banana Republic: 40% off select full-price styles & an extra 50% off sale styles (no codes needed)
Ann Taylor: 50% off select winter styles using code REFRESH + up to 70% off all sale styles – I’ve got my eye on this cable knit sweater, this pretty blouse & these velvet pumps (only $36!!).
JCPenney: 50% off when you spend $50 or 65% off when you spend $100 + an extra 25% off select sale & clearance items using code 4DEALS (some exclusions apply) – this sweater is one of my favorite recent purchases & this striped pullover is another great find!

I love these pieces! I want them all!
xx
Sometimes a break is a good thing! And spending time with family is important! Glad you had a good time!
Absolutely love it!

I was always wary of overknee boots because my legs aren’t ideal (hello pear shape) and also because I hate heels (hello short-legged pear shape). But I find that I really started to look at them and wonder if I should at least try them. But there’s one more thing that stops me from that, apart from the fear of them being unflattering on me. I work in the office and sometimes I don’t change my “outside” shoes during the day, but these would probably be much too warm to wear indoors right?
Also, how long do you think the trend will last? Is this the last season they are in?
I think over-the-knee boots are a classic style that we will see for years to come and I wear mine indoors and don’t have an issue with getting too warm. It took me a little bit of time to find a pair that fit me well all the way up the leg and ones that didn’t slip down with wear, but I think they are a great investment!
